Role of wind and other meteorological factors in evaporation and potential evapotranspiration : a dissertation submitted in partial fulfilment for the requirements of Post Graduate Diploma in Agricultural Science in the University of Canterbury [Lincoln College], New Zealand

    Piyawongsomboon, Waree
    Abstract
The purpose of this study was to apply the Penman and the Thornthwaite formula for estimating potential evapotranspiration and checked with the estimates based on pan evaporation data to present the role of north-westerly conditions and other meteorological factors in evaporation and potential evapotranspiration which related to a question of how much water can be saved, or how much water can be accomplished in the area of reducing useless evaporation, aimed at increasing food production by making the best use of climate for growing crops and animals and is subject to ongoing development....
